Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Salary Range: £140 - £190 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Role Overview
You will be responsible for delivering engaging PE lessons that inspire students to stay active, build skills, and develop a lifelong love of sport. Whether it’s team games, athletics, or health education, you’ll be at the heart of promoting physical and mental well-being in your classroom and beyond.
Responsibilities as a PE Teacher:
- Deliver a broad and inclusive PE curriculum across various sports and fitness disciplines.
- Encourage participation, teamwork, and fair play among students.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to a range of abilities and interests.
- Organise and supervise extracurricular sports clubs, activities, and competitions.
- Promote the importance of physical health, nutrition, and well-being.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and safe sporting environment..
We are looking for a PE Teacher who has :
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) specialising in Physical Education.
- Strong background in PE, Sports Science, or a related discipline.
- Recent experience teaching PE within a school or college setting.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and build positive relationships with students.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education).
