Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Worksop (S81)
Pay rate: £95-£110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract type- Daily Supply
Are you confident managing a classroom and supporting students when their teacher is unavailable?
GSL Education are appointing an organised and dependable Cover Supervisor to support schools across the Worksop (S81) area. This opportunity is well suited to an individual who thrives on working with young people and can ensure a calm, focused learning environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre‑planned lessons, keeping pupils focused and maintaining good behaviour. You will oversee classes across a range of subjects, ensuring learning continues smoothly during staff absences
Main Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor:
- Deliver pre-planned lesson materials provided by class teachers.
- Monitor student behaviour and promote a calm, productive classroom.
- Offer guidance and support to pupils as they complete their work.
- Follow school procedures and expectations throughout the day.
- Report back to teaching staff regarding progress or concerns.
- Contribute to a safe and respectful learning space.
Requirements:
- A degree-level qualification or suitable school-based experience.
- Strong communication skills and confidence managing groups.
- Ability to motivate and support students across various subjects.
- A flexible and positive approach to working with different classes.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safeguarding.
