GSL Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in schools in Horncastle. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people and helping them achieve their full potential.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. You may be providing one-to-one support, working with small groups or assisting students within the classroom. You will play an important role in creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, no two days will be the same! You could be supporting students in a Primary, Secondary or specialist SEN setting, providing valuable assistance wherever it is needed. You must be confident and comfortable working with children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and able to adapt quickly to different schools, classrooms and students.

As a Sports Coach, you will use the power of sport and physical activity to engage, motivate and support students. You will be working with young people who have a variety of additional needs, so the ability to adapt your coaching style and build strong, positive relationships will be essential. You'll help create a supportive and inclusive environment where every student can develop their confidence, teamwork, resilience and physical abilities.

Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis. Help students manage their emotions, behaviour and engagement. Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils. Support students to access learning and develop their confidence and independence. Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement. Work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral/SEN team. Provide a calm, consistent and nurturing presence throughout the school day.

Supporting pupils across Primary, Secondary and SEN settings. Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required. Assisting teachers with learning and classroom activities. Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive behaviour. Supporting students who may display challenging or behavioural difficulties. Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
