Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Worksop (S81)
Pay rate: £95-£110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract type- Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are inviting applications for a committed Teaching Assistant to support schools in the Worksop (S81) area. This role suits someone who enjoys helping pupils remain engaged, build confidence, and achieve academic success

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will offer classroom support, provide guidance during lessons, and work closely with teachers to make sure students receive the help they need. You may support small groups or individual pupils, contributing to a positive and well-structured learning environment.

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lesson activities.
  • Support pupils who require additional help with classwork.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a calm learning atmosphere.
  • Prepare resources and assist with classroom organisation.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to meet individual student needs.
  • Promote a safe and respectful environment for all learners.

Requirements of Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow guidance from teaching staff and use initiative when needed.
  • Patience, reliability, and a supportive attitude.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A genuine interest in helping students achieve their best.
