Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Worksop (S81)
Pay rate: £95-£110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract type- Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are recruiting a reliable Teaching Assistant to support schools in the Worksop (S81) postcodes. This role suits someone who enjoys helping students grow both academically and personally while contributing to a positive classroom atmosphere.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teaching staff to provide practical support in lessons and offer guidance to pupils who need extra encouragement. You will play a key role in creating a calm, focused, and productive learning environment

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation.
  • Support pupils with their work, both individually and in small groups.
  • Help maintain good behaviour and promote positive learning attitudes.
  • Prepare learning materials and resources as required.
  • Encourage pupils to stay motivated and engaged throughout the school day.
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment for all students.

Requirements of Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally within a school setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A calm, adaptable approach to supporting pupils with different needs.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A genuine interest in helping students succeed both academically and emotionally.
