Full-Time Computing/ICT Teacher – Secondary School in Southampton, Hampshire (SO14)
GSL Education are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Computing/ICT Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Southampton, Hampshire. This full-time role is set to begin in September 2025, with the option of a permanent or fixed-term contract following a successful probation period. The salary for this position ranges from £30,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Responsibilities of a Computing/ICT Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Computing and ICT across Key Stages.
- Plan and implement lessons that develop students’ digital literacy and problem-solving skills.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s digital curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events related to Computing and ICT.
- Stay current with technological advancements and curriculum developments in the field.
- Promote student achievement and well-being through high expectations and supportive teaching.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong passion for Computing, ICT, and education.
- Experience teaching Computing/ICT at the secondary level (ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply).
- Ability to deliver creative and inspiring lessons that engage all learners.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding, student welfare, and continuous professional development.
- An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
