What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supervising classes during teacher absence and delivering pre-set lesson material
  • Encouraging students to stay on task and engage positively in learning activities
  • Upholding the school’s behaviour policies to maintain a productive classroom environment
  • Supporting pupils where needed and ensuring a smooth continuation of learning
  • Collaborating with teaching and support staff to ensure the day runs effectively

What You’ll Need

  • A degree or equivalent qualification is beneficial but not essential
  • Previous experience working with young people (coaching, tutoring, youth work, etc.) is an advantage
  • The ability to manage a classroom confidently and keep students engaged
  • A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
