Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Rotherham (S25 area)
Salary: £460 - £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them stay engaged in learning and develop essential skills. This role allows you to make a tangible difference in the well-being and progress of each student.
Responsibilities:

Implement personalised support strategies to meet the needs of each student.

Assist with classroom activities, promoting engagement, learning, and independence.

Provide emotional and behavioural support, helping students manage challenges effectively.

Collaborate with teachers and the wider support team to ensure holistic student development.

Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.

Support students with personal care and daily routines, where required.
Qualifications:
-
Previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs in a school or similar setting is preferred.

Understanding of SEMH conditions and evidence-based support strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach to working with children with diverse needs.
