Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA)
Location: Doncaster
Salary Range: £85 - 110 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Role Overview:
You will support children and young people who face social, emotional, or behavioural challenges, helping them to engage with learning and develop confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
Responsibilities as a SEMH TA:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
- Help pupils manage emotions, behaviour, and social interactions in a positive way.
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions.
- Encourage engagement, motivation, and independence in learning.
- Promote emotional well-being and resilience among students.
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback to teaching staff.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment..
We are looking for a SEMH TA who has :
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or additional needs (desirable but not essential).
- Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, or psychology are advantageous.
- Understanding of behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation.
- A calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with students.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education).
