Our client is a primary phase opened in September 2013 and they now have five-year groups, from Nursery through to Year 3.  They take 90 new pupils into Reception every year. One of our thriving client schools in the London Borough of Hackney is currently seeking a committed, experienced Year 4/KS2 class teacher to fill a vacant position from September 2018.

Our client is a much larger than average primary school. The school serves an area of significant deprivation and its pupils represent a very wide range of ethnic backgrounds, with the largest groups being those of Asian, White, Black Caribbean and Black African heritage.The community is culturally and ethnically diverse: some 8% of our pupils are Turkish, 6% African Caribbean, 66% White British, 11% from other white European backgrounds and the remainder are from a wide range of ethnic groups represented in smaller numbers.  This means that the percentage of pupils from minority ethnic groups is more than twice the National average and therefore the school works hard to be culturally inclusive. You need to have:

One of our thriving client schools in the London Borough of Camden is currently seeking a committed, experienced Year 4/Year 5/KS2 class teacher.

You need to have:

  • Qualified teacher status or recognized equivalent
  • Full-time teaching experience within the primary age range

  • Assess and record the progress of pupils’ learning to inform next steps and monitor progress
  • Plan, prepare and deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age
  • Encourage children in developing self-esteem and respect for others
  • Demonstrate a commitment to equalities promoting the school’s vision and ethos, high quality, stimulating learning environments, ongoing relevant professional self-development, safeguarding and child protection

  • QTS or the UK recognized teaching qualification at a primary level
  • Able to inspire and engage with children or young adults with Special Education and challenging behaviour
  • Assessing individual learning needs and developing individual education plans
  • To be able to differentiate work to students depending on their needs and abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with other staff members
  • The ability to use initiative and works well under pressure
     
  • Have recent experience teaching SEN students
