Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Ringwood
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time
Start Date: January 2026

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a caring and progressive school in Ringwood this January. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping students with additional needs thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will design and deliver personalised learning that meets the needs of students with a variety of special educational needs. You will collaborate closely with the SENCO, support staff, and external specialists to ensure each learner receives the consistent, high-quality support they deserve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
- Establish a calm, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment.
- Work with the SENCO to develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain strong communication with parents, carers, and multi-agency professionals.
- Use positive behaviour support strategies to promote well-being and engagement.
- Contribute to the wider school community and participate in ongoing professional development.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience supporting students with SEN, especially those with ASD, ADHD, or learning difficulties.
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and adaptive learning strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Patient, resourceful, and committed to supporting students with diverse needs.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
