Business and Economics Teacher – Tower Hamlets

GSL Education London Branch is looking for a Business and Economics Teacher to work at a co-educational comprehensive secondary school located in Tower Hamlets. This is a long-term position starting in September 2025.

The school is looking for a reliable and qualified Business and Economics Teacher who can teach Key Stages 4 and 5. You will be part of a supportive department with good facilities and resources.

 

Business and Economics Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Teach Business and Economics at GCSE and A-Level

  • Plan and deliver lessons following the school’s curriculum

  • Assess and monitor student progress

  • Support students with their learning and provide feedback

  • Work closely with other staff and follow school policies

  • Keep clear records of lessons and student outcomes

  • Manage behaviour in the classroom

Business and Economics Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching Business and/or Economics in UK secondary schools

  • Strong subject knowledge in Business and Economics

  • Good classroom management skills

  • Able to work well with staff and students

  • A clear and up-to-date Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
