Full-Time Food Technology Teacher – Havant, Hampshire

A secondary school in Havant is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join their team full-time from September 2025. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. About the Role:
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ practical skills and understanding of nutrition, food science, and design. You will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering creativity, technical knowledge, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver inspiring and practical Food Technology lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Teach and motivate students at KS3 and KS4, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
- Plan, assess, and track student progress to support academic achievement.
- Promote safe and hygienic working practices in food preparation.
- Encourage creativity and independent thinking through hands-on activities and projects.
- Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment where all students feel supported.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and participate in school activities.
Job Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
- A strong passion for Food Technology and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater for a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Commitment to upholding health and safety standards in practical lessons.
- Willingness to work collaboratively within a supportive school team.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
