Cover Supervisor Opportunities – Secondary Schools across Basingstoke

What is a Cover Supervisor?
A Cover Supervisor plays a vital role in secondary schools by:
- Supervising pre-prepared lessons in the absence of a class teacher
- Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe, positive learning environment
- Ensuring students remain on task with the work set
- Acting as a reliable and professional presence in the classroom
This is not a teaching role, but an excellent opportunity to develop classroom experience, particularly suited to graduates, aspiring teachers, or university students considering a career in education.
What’s on Offer?

Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- A confident and professional approach to managing a classroom
- Good communication and organisational skills
- The ability to engage with young people and manage behaviour effectively
- Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
