Learning Support Assistant

Location: Lincoln

Salary Scale: £83.33 to £95.00per day

Start Date: ASAP

Status: Part time/ Full Time

GSL Education is currently seeking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to undertake a position at one of our client schools in Lincoln. A Learning Support Assistant plays a crucial role in the educational setting, particularly in supporting students who have additional learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with varying needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support classroom activities and help create a positive learning environment.
  • Foster students' personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor and report on student progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A relevant qualification or training in education or special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
