Role: SENCO
Location: Wandsworth, South West London
Salary: £32000 -  £50000 per annum
Start Date: September 2022
Contract: Permanent
 
GSL Education is looking for a motivating and engaging SENCo to work at one of our client schools in Wandsworth, South West London. You will have the experience and responsibility in day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEND.
 
You will need to hold the National SENCO qualification or be working towards completing the qualification. You will be able to effectively work closely with parent/carers and professionals.
 
Areas of responsibility and key tasks:
  • Put provision in place to ensure that progress of pupils with SEN improves relative to
  • those without SEN.
  • Ensure that the school carries out its statutory responsibilities regarding all students with
  • a Statement of Special Educational Needs.
  • Support all staff in understanding the needs of SEN pupils
  • Evaluate and review the quality of teaching and learning across the Academy, with regard to SEND students
  • Support the identification of and disseminate the most effective teaching approaches for individual pupils with SEN
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold a QTS or equivalent
  • Have an excellent knowledge of SEND
  • Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff and parents
  • Be able to contribute to and implement strategic plans for the provision of pupils with EHCP's
  • Have good behaviour and communication skills
