SEND Teaching Assistant – Islington
Location: Islington
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time
Pay Rate: £95 – £105 per day (depending on experience)
GSL Education are delighted to present a rewarding opportunity for a committed and empathetic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school community in the Islington area. This role is perfect for individuals with experience supporting students with a variety of SEND needs and a passion for helping young people thrive both academically and emotionally.
The Role – SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of SEND needs
- Assisting in delivering personalised interventions and structured support plans
- Supporting students during classroom learning and engaging activities
- Monitoring pupil progress and promoting emotional wellbeing
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies
- Helping to maintain a safe, motivating, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements of the SEND TA Role:
- Proven experience working with students with SEND needs
- Recent school-based experience is essential
- Confidence in providing individualised support and differentiated learning
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
