The role is at a mixed secondary school based in Ridbridge, London. The school is looking for someone who can start from September 2019. This is a permanent role.
The school is looking for a Design & Technology Technician who has previous working experience in a school setting and who can provide high-quality technical support and assistance to the Design Technology Department so that learning and teaching can be of the highest possible standard.

The successful candidate will:
Demonstrate recent experience as a DT Technician within a Design technology department
Have experience of working with children in a school setting
Have knowledge of COSHH and ESCC regulations in relation to the safe handling and storage of chemicals
Have knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
Have knowledge of safe working practices in relation to the handling and use of hazardous equipment and tools
Demonstrate experience in the set-up, use of maintenance of a range of CAM equipment including laser cutters, 3D printers, sublimation printers and vinyl cutters
Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.

GSL Education is urgently seeking Cover Supervisors for schools in the London Borough of Redbridge. We run a very busy day to day supply desk- as well as getting long-term positions through, and require strong, reliable and experienced Cover Supervisors immediately.
The role of a Cover Supervisor involves:
-Sole responsibility for supervising classes and issuing work that has been set by the absent class teacher;
-Managing the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking their work, to ensure a constructive environment;
-Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures;
-Dealing with any immediate problems according to the school's policies and procedures;
-Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher;
-Reporting back as appropriate using the school's agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising.
Although the role of a Cover Supervisor does not require any specific qualifications, experience working with young people and strong behaviour management is vital!
