GSL Education is seeking an inspirational and outstanding English Teacher for a client school in North Kent, graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The post is due to commence immediately and is a full-time position that could be eventually offered permanently to the deserving candidate.

 

The School:

  • A fully inclusive academy for young people aged between 11 and 19, committed to delivering first class-education and playing an active role in the local community
  • Encourage all learners to develop their own interests, passions, enthusiasms, creativity and individuality
  • Empower learners to develop a strong sense of right and wrong, good and bad, equality and justice and give them the inner strength to act according to these values

 

The following criteria will be considered for the position:

  • A valid teaching qualification in English namely a B.Ed. / B.A in English with a PGCE in English. Teachers having a QTS or NQT status are both welcome to apply
  • Prior experience of teaching English to GCSE students will be an added advantage
  • Passionate about the subject and in command of techniques to keep students engrossed
  • Strong interpersonal skills and classroom behaviour management, lesson-planning, patience and empathy
