Be able to teach Biology up to KS5.

Cover Supervisor KS3 & KS4- Hackney, North/ East London
Pay Scale: £70- 90 per day – depending on experience

We are currently on the lookout for an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor who possesses excellent interpersonal and behaviour management skills to work across KS3 & KS4. The role is based in a ‘good’ community school in Hackney, and will be on a full time/ long term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody that is looking to build upon their current experience within the education system, due to the fact that the role involves a significant level of autonomy. We strongly recommend this position for future teachers!
Within the role the selected candidate will:
• Be able to deliver effective, engaging lessons to students based on lesson plans and materials provided by absent classroom teachers.
• Promote the schools behaviour policy amongst all students and staff.
• Undertake administrative tasks such as monitoring teacher and student absences.
• Providing lesson feedback to Heads of Department.
The selected candidate will need:
• At least 6 months experience working in a school setting. (preferably secondary)
• Excellent behaviour management skills. This is crucial within this position, as the candidate will be expected to manage the classroom on their own.
• Have a passion for raising attainment within secondary education.
• A UK Degree (desirable not essential)
• A current DBS registered to the Update Service/ or be willing to apply for one.

-At least 3 months experience covering classes in UK schools or worked as a teaching assistant
