Full Time Year 1 Teacher Needed to work in Large Primary School in Nuneaton (CV12)!

A Large Primary  School in Nuneaton (CV12) are looking for a Full Time Year 1 teacher to start from May 2018. This role up till June 2018 but has the potential to be reviewed to be extended.

This school is based in CV12 and are looking to trial as soon as possible. 

The role includes planning, managing, delivering and assessing pupil progress. Your role will involve raising pupil attainment and delivering creative lessons to encourage pupil engagement. The role will involve general class teaching duties as well as additional responsibilities, for example planning and assessing.

Lesson planning is done in groups reducing the work load.

Each class has 30 pupils with 1 Teaching Assistant and a fantastic leadership team to provide additional support.

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching across KS1 and should be able to commit to this role up till the end of the academic year.

Your role will include:

·         Practice and guide children with pronunciation, reading and writing

·         Preparing children for Phonics/ Reading/ Writing Assessments

Full-time and bank SEMH Teaching Assistants urgently required to work in a large SEN School on an ongoing basis and to start asap. The role will involve working 1:1 and within small groups.

This position will involve supporting children between the age of 4 and 11 with SEMH as well as supporting the class teacher deliver activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

The role will commence immediately and will continue on a full time/ long term basis. The school is based in the vibrant borough of Tower Hamlets. The area is well facilitated and is a hub for culture, the school is also just a 10 minute walk away from Shadwell DLR Station…making it a seamless commute for the selected candidate. The School:

  • A large SEN School based in Warwickshire which offers a chance for students to feel comfortable and learn at their own pace.
  • You will be working alongside teachers, supporting small groups of students who have lost their way in the mainstream education system and have Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties and/or Autism
  • The teaching staff work in partnership with parents, carers and other agencies to help students make positive choices and changes that will serve them better in the future.
  • Highly praised for their positive ethos of being calm, focused, happy and nurturing positivity among students and staff. 

The desired candidates must have:

  • Ideally hold any associated certificates relevant to SEN support
  • Experience working in similar environments that can be easily referenced
  • Should be TEAM-TEACH trained, although this is not essential
  • Can cope with supporting students who may exhibit challenging behaviour
  • Have good reading, writing, numeracy and IT skills
  • Possess a current enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply and pay for a new one through GSL

To be considered for a role as Teaching Assistant/LSA, you will need the following:

  • A Teaching Assistant qualification e.g. CACHE Level 1, 2 or 3
  • Experience working in an SEN department and be a specialist SEN TA/LSA who has worked with children with high functioning ASD/Complex Needs.
  • Been trained to Team Teach which is a compulsory part of the role.

  • A relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification eg. CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools, HLTA or a teaching qualification.
  • Recent experience working within a UK based Primary or Secondary School;
  • High levels of literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to build relationships with students, other members of teaching staff and senior management.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills, as well as possessing the ability to remain calm under pressure.
