Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield – S5
Salary: £85 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a nurturing attitude and classroom experience to make a positive impact on pupils’ academic and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Provide in-class support to pupils across a range of abilities.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, planning, and behaviour management.
- Work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils to support learning and engagement.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Support children with additional needs, including SEND, where required.
- Monitor and report pupil progress to the class teacher and SENCO.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting children.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
