Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield (S3)
Salary Range: £90 to £120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a proactive and dependable Cover Supervisor to join a supportive school in Sheffield from September 2025. This role is ideal for aspiring teachers or those seeking valuable classroom experience.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will manage classroom behaviour and deliver pre-set work when teaching staff are unavailable. Your key goal will be to maintain a calm, respectful, and productive learning environment, ensuring continuity in students' education.
Your Responsibilities as a CS:
- Supervise classes and ensure pupils remain on task during teacher absences.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and support students as needed.
- Manage behaviour in line with school policy.
- Build positive relationships with students and contribute to their learning journey.
- Report back to teaching staff with feedback on class progress or issues.
Requirements for CS:
- Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting.
- Confidence, flexibility, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to maintain order and promote positive behaviour.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
