Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: Sheffield – S35
Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a passionate and imaginative Art Teacher to join a welcoming school in Sheffield (S35). As an Art Teacher, your role will be to develop students’ skills, confidence, and appreciation for visual arts while supporting their academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities as Art Teacher:

  • Deliver dynamic, curriculum-based Art lessons that engage and inspire.
  • Teach a range of media including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
  • Encourage creative exploration and critical thinking.
  • Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

To be an Art Teacher, you will require:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Art at secondary level (KS3 & KS4).
  • A strong portfolio of creative skills and subject knowledge.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years (with no unexplained gaps).
