Job Title: Secondary Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield – S9
Pay Rate: £85 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a committed and proactive Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Sheffield from September, providing classroom-based and one-to-one support across various subjects to help improve academic outcomes and behaviour while contributing to a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities as a Secondary TA :
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and staying engaged during lessons.
- Work alongside teachers to deliver differentiated learning activities.
- Provide targeted intervention and small group support where needed.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Assist with classroom preparation, organisation, and resources.
Essential Criteria for Secondary Teaching Assistant:
- Experience supporting students in a secondary school or similar setting.
- A calm, patient, and encouraging approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A current, enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years (with no unexplained gaps).
