Role: Behaviour Mentor-LSA
Location: Colchester
Pay Rate: £88.92 – £95 per day
Start Date: September 2025
Support Positive Change as a Behaviour Mentor – Colchester
GSL Education is recruiting Behaviour Mentors to support Year 5 class in a primary settings in Colchester. This role involves working closely with students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and ODD, while assisting the classroom teacher with tailored behaviour and learning strategies.
Main Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, classroom routines, and transitions
• Help implement personalised behaviour management plans
• Build trust and consistency with students through daily interactions
• Promote a calm, inclusive, and focused learning environment
Candidate Profile:
• Experience supporting children with additional or behavioural needs
• Confident, patient, and consistent in approach
• Understanding of behaviour strategies and trauma-informed practices
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education)
