GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Primary Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a nurturing school community in Lincoln. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young learners who need additional support to flourish both academically and socially.

Your Role: Inspire and Support Every Day!

As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with children aged 4–11, providing 1:1 and small group support. You’ll assist pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop essential life skills in a safe and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities: Your Daily Impact

  • Support pupils’ learning, emotional, and social development in the classroom.
  • Assist teachers in delivering creative and differentiated lessons tailored to SEN pupils.
  • Collaborate with SENCOs and staff to implement inclusive learning strategies.
  • Encourage communication, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a caring and structured environment where every child feels valued.

Who We’re Looking For: Could This Be You?

  • Experience working with primary-aged children with SEN, SEMH, autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties.
  • A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or psychology (desirable but not essential).
  • A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
  • A valid driving licence.
