Salary: £88.94 to £104.84 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking to appoint a committed and caring Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive school in Lincoln. This is a rewarding role where you will support students who may require tailored guidance, helping them succeed in their academic and social development.

As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work closely with teaching staff to assist pupils during lessons, provide encouragement and motivation, and support learning activities. You may be working with individuals or small groups, offering both academic and emotional support throughout the day. This role suits someone with a calm nature, a genuine love for helping others, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Provide in-class support to students across various subjects and age groups.
  • Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning and encourage engagement.
  • Help pupils stay focused, understand tasks, and complete their work.
  • Assist the teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Offer emotional and social support to students where needed.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and feedback to teaching staff.
  • Support the implementation of learning strategies tailored to individual needs.
  • Encourage good behavior and help manage any challenges calmly.
  • Assist with transitions between classroom activities and school routines.

Requirements of the role:

  • Passion for helping students achieve their best and build confidence in their abilities.
  • Ability to adapt and support a variety of learning needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Experience working with children or young people in any educational or care capacity as a Learning Support Assistant or similar.
  • A positive, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children.
