Rate: £88.94 - £104.84 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role:

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and proactive Mental Health Support Worker (SW) to join our team in Lincoln starting September 2025. In this role, you will support students with mental health and emotional wellbeing needs, helping them overcome challenges and thrive in an inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities of Mental Health Support Worker (SW):

  • Support the development and implementation of tailored wellbeing plans.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group interventions for students with mental health needs.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and families to ensure a holistic approach.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students.
  • Use creative and engaging methods to support emotional regulation and resilience.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to regular progress reviews.

Requirements of Mental Health Support Worker (SW):

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A genuine passion for supporting mental health and wellbeing.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in mental health, SEN, or education are desirable.

To be considered, you will need:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
