Salary: £88.94 - £104.84 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Assistant to join schools in Lincoln starting in September 2025. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping them thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role:
As a SEND Assistant in Lincoln, you will work closely with students who require additional support due to learning difficulties, disabilities, or other special educational needs. You will assist in delivering tailored learning activities, promoting engagement, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities of SEND Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEND.
- Assist in the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and developing key skills.
- Use a range of strategies to support communication, sensory, and behavioural needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure effective support.
- Promote independence, confidence, and emotional well-being among students.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or physical disabilities.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A relevant qualification in education, special needs, or child development (desirable but not essential).
- A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
