Rate: £88.94 - £104.84 per day (Depending on experience)

About the Role

As an Autism TA, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students with autism across various settings. Working closely with teachers and specialists, you’ll help create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities of Autism Teaching Assistant (TA)

Supporting Learning Plans: Assist in implementing personalised learning strategies tailored to each student’s needs.
Delivering Interventions: Provide one-on-one and small group support to develop communication, social, and academic skills.
Encouraging Independence: Promote positive learning habits and model appropriate behaviour to foster student confidence.
Creating Inclusive Spaces: Collaborate with staff to ensure classrooms are welcoming and accessible for all learners.
Monitoring Progress: Keep detailed records of student development and communicate regularly with staff and families.
Team Collaboration: Work alongside SENCOs, therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic support.

Requirements of Autism Teaching Assistant (TA)

• Experience supporting students with autism or in a similar SEN role.
• A genuine passion for inclusive education.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant training or qualifications in autism support (desirable but not essential).
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
