Lead the Digital Revolution – ICT Teacher Needed!

Job Title: ICT Teacher
Location: Hull
Salary Range: M1 to UPS3 (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a caring and enthusiastic ICT Teacher to join a friendly school in Hull. You will help students learn how to use computers and technology in their everyday life and future work. We want someone who loves technology and enjoys making lessons interesting and easy to understand. You will support young people to build important skills for the digital world.

Responsibilities of the ICT Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Information and Communication Technology (ICT) lessons to students of different ages and abilities.
  • Teach students how to use computers, software, and other digital tools safely and effectively.
  • Help students develop skills in coding, problem-solving, and using technology in everyday life.
  • Assess and track students’ progress and provide helpful feedback.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Keep up to date with the latest technology and teaching methods.
  • Work closely with other teachers and staff to support students’ learning and wellbeing.
  • Encourage students to use technology responsibly and understand online safety.
  • Participate in school events and staff meetings as needed.

Requirements for the ICT Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Good knowledge of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and current digital tools.
  • Ability to explain technical ideas in a simple and clear way.
  • Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude towards working with students.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to promoting safe and responsible use of technology.
  • A current CV covering the last 10 years of employment, explaining any gaps.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
