SEN Teacher
Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Salary Scale: MPS/UPS; £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time
Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher with a genuine interest in supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities? GSL Education is seeking an SEN Teacher to work at a Special Educational Needs School located in Scarborough, North Yorkshire with an immediate start date.

SEN Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons tailored to individual EHCPs.
- Marking, assessing work and tracking pupil progress.
- Adapting conventional teaching methods to meet the individual needs of pupils.
- Work collaboratively with a team of Teaching Assistants and the wider SEN team.
- Support students with communication, behaviour, and sensory needs.
SEN Teacher Requirements:
- Hold QTS or QTLS, with experience teaching in SEN or inclusive settings.
- Have a strong understanding of a range of special needs and how to meet these in the classroom.
- Excellent behaviour management and a calm, adaptable teaching style.
- Be able to quickly engage and build rapport with students.
- Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered to the Update Service, or be willing to complete one through GSL Education
