GSL Education are currently seeking a proactive and efficient Administrator to work within an SEN environment in Chesterfield.

About the Role:

As an Administrator, you will play a key part in the daily operations of the school. You will be responsible for handling sensitive information, managing school databases, and providing essential administrative support to staff and parents. The ideal candidate will have a background in administration, preferably within an educational or SEN setting, and will be confident in using school systems.

Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Manage reception duties including answering phones, greeting visitors, and handling queries.
  • Maintain accurate records and school databases in line with GDPR.
  • Provide administrative support to senior staff, SENCOs, and teaching teams.
  • Assist with preparing documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Organise diaries, meetings, and appointments.
  • Support with the coordination of pupil files, SEN documentation, and safeguarding records.
  • Liaise with external professionals and families in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Help ensure the smooth running of daily school operations.

Requirements for Administrator:

  • Previous experience in school or office administration as an Administrator.
  • Strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Office and school MIS systems, using SIMS.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Professional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Must be a driver and have a UK driving licence – essential for accessing school sites.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
