Science Teachers for Secondary Schools in Southend on sea
Location: Southend on sea
Salary: £130- £250 per day
Start Date: September 2024
Contract Type: Full-time
We are seeking highly qualified and experienced Science Teachers to join our team of dedicated educators in secondary schools across Southend on sea.
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students aged 11-16, fostering a love of science and promoting academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver, and assess a range of science lessons, including biology, chemistry, and physics, to students of varying abilities.
  • Develop and implement innovative and inclusive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Monitor student progress, identify areas of improvement, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and expertise.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of science curriculum and policies.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, such as biology, chemistry, or physics.
  • A teaching qualification, such as QTS or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching science in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Competitive daily rate of £130- £250.
