Design and Technology Technician

Location: Tunbridge Wells

Salary: £90 - £110 per day

Start: September 2024

Contract: Full-time/Part-time

Are you a creative and technically skilled individual ready to take on an exciting new role? GSL Education Kent are looking to recruit DT Technicians for leading schools in Tunbridge Wells for long-term opportunities starting in September 2024.

As a DT Technician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education in Design and Technology. Your expertise will help inspire and guide students, fostering their creativity and technical skills in a dynamic and engaging environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, maintain, and manage resources and equipment for DT lessons.
  • Support teaching staff in delivering practical lessons, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Provide technical assistance to students, guiding them through projects and encouraging their development.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of workshop spaces, adhering to all health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in Design, Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong technical skills with an understanding of current technology and design tools.
  • A genuine passion for education and the ability to inspire young learners.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students, with adherence to all safeguarding protocols and background checks.
