Role: Teacher of History
Location: Selby, North Yorkshire
Start Date: September term of 2023
Salary: MPS/UPS


Are you a successful History Teacher looking to engage young people? Have you taught young people with challenging behaviour or additional needs such as SEMH?
GSL Education are a leading education recruitment company, currently seeking an outstanding History Teacher to work at a secondary school in Selby, North Yorkshire. As the role includes full teacher responsibilities, including planning and marking, you will be paid in-line with your current PayScale (£28,000 – £43,685 per annum), through PAYE.

Teacher of History requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) with Key Stage 3 and GCSE History teaching experience.
  • Relevant Degree and classroom teaching experience within the last 2 years.
  • Uphold high expectations of all pupils and uphold high professional standards.
  • Understand the need for a scaffolded curriculum.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
  • Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to engage and build a rapport with young people.
  • Have an Enhanced, Child Only DBS registered with the update service or be prepared to apply for a new one
