We are recruiting on behalf of several SEN settings within Tyne and Wear and require Teaching assistants confident supporting pupils with substantial barriers to learning 
The successful candidate(s) will have relevant experience  in either ASD, SEMH or PMLD . We are keen to speak to anyone with school based experience, but also those in care and community roles who wish to use their skills in school.
We have 1:1 and whole class-support positions available and our vacancies cover an age range of Key Stage 1 to Post 16
It is essential that you can build rapport quickly and have the ability to make lessons fun . You must be confident the lead of the class teacher and be comfortable working as a team or supporting single students.
 A calm, caring and kind disposition is essential. You will be confident managing pupils in crisis and pupils with very specific needs. The ability to keep record is essential - so good organisational skills and  communication skills are a must . Patience and resilience are also required !
The roles are five days per week usual school hours and are expected to be long-term
We ask that all our applicants are willing to undertake our standard vetting procedures which include professional references and a DBS Certificate on the update service ( Or be willing to apply for one)
