Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Middlesbrough
Pay: £90–£120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are looking to appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant (TA) within nurturing educational settings in Middlesbrough. We would like to hear from a caring and enthusiastic individual who can support children's development, encourage their curiosity, and help create a positive start to their educational journey.
The Early Years TA role gives you the opportunity to support children's learning while helping them build confidence, communication skills, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist children with learning through play, storytelling, and creative activities
- Help prepare engaging classroom resources and interactive learning areas
- Encourage children's social, emotional, and language development throughout the day
- Support daily routines that promote independence and positive behaviour
- Observe children's progress and share updates with teaching staff when required
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment
Early Years Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Relevant Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
- Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is beneficial
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles
- Ability to create positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents
- Creative, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting early learning
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
