Job Title: PE Support
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you an enthusiastic and reliable individual with a passion for sport and physical education?
GSL Education are seeking a motivated PE Support to work in schools across Wakefield (WF4), supporting the delivery of engaging and active PE lessons.
As a PE Support, you will work closely with PE teachers and school staff to support students during physical education lessons and sports activities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in sport who enjoys working with young people in a school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of PE lessons and extracurricular sports activities
- Assist teachers with setting up, organising, and managing equipment and resources
- Encourage student participation and promote positive behaviour during lessons
- Support students of varying abilities to ensure safe and inclusive participation
- Supervise students during indoor and outdoor physical activities
- Help maintain a safe, well-managed, and positive learning environment
Requirements:
- A genuine interest in sport, fitness, or physical education
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or sports setting
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive, energetic, and flexible approach
- Ability to manage groups of students under guidance
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
