SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Enfield
Pay Rate: £90 - £105 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long-Term, Full-Time
Working Hours: 8:15 am – 3:45 pm
GSL Education’s London Branch is currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Enfield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and looking for a long-term role with potential for career progression.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will provide tailored 1:1 support and lead small group interventions for students with additional needs, particularly those with ASD. You will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to ensure every child can access learning and thrive in a positive environment.
Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):
- Deliver 1:1 SEN support and targeted interventions.
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and differentiated activities.
- Lead small group sessions when required.
- Promote social, emotional, and academic development through encouragement and patience.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers and staff to maintain an inclusive learning environment.
- Follow school policies and contribute positively as part of a team.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):
- Proven SEN experience with strong knowledge of ASD.
- Recent school-based experience.
- Ability to lead groups confidently when required.
- Ability to deliver 1:1 SEN support and interventions.
- A warm personality with excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to following school policies and contributing positively to the team.
