Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Wakefield (WF4 area)
Salary: £460 - £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with SEN, helping them engage with learning and develop essential skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the well-being and progress of each student.
Responsibilities:

Implement personalised support strategies to meet the needs of each student.

Assist teachers in delivering lessons and activities that meet individual learning needs.

Provide emotional and behavioural support, helping students manage challenges effectively.

Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs).

Maintain accurate records of student progress and activities.

Support students with personal care and daily routines, where required.
Qualifications:
-
Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting is preferred.

Understanding of SEN conditions and evidence-based support strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
