As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. You will help learners access the curriculum, adapt activities where needed, and provide consistent encouragement throughout the school day. The role is focused on educational support, emotional regulation and classroom engagement rather than specialist therapy delivery.

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping them regulate emotions, stay engaged in learning, and access education in a meaningful way. You will work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to provide consistent support throughout the school day. You may work with individuals or small groups, as well as provide general classroom support to help ensure lessons run smoothly and effectively.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring students complete pre-set work and remain focused throughout lessons. You will play a key role in maintaining classroom order, supporting behaviour expectations and ensuring continuity of learning across a variety of subjects.
