Salary: £88.94 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role:

As an SEMH Support Worker in Spilsby, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. You’ll work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities of SEMH Support Worker:

  • Support the development and implementation of tailored support plans for students with SEMH needs.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group interventions to help students manage their emotions and behaviour.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with staff and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive school culture.
  • Use a variety of strategies and resources to meet diverse student needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements of SEMH Support Worker:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trust and positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to support.
  • Relevant training or qualifications in SEMH or behaviour support are desirable but not essential.

To work with GSL Education as an SEMH Support Worker, you will need:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
