Responsibilities of Classroom Assistant:
- Assist in delivering lessons and classroom activities under the teacher’s guidance.
- Offer one-to-one or group support to students who need extra help.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage student engagement.
- Help with classroom organisation and resource preparation.
- Build strong relationships with students and staff to support a positive school culture.
- Follow safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies at all times.
Job Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in any setting is desirable.
- A confident, compassionate, and patient approach to supporting learners.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn on the job.
- A commitment to student wellbeing, safety, and development.
- Must have an up-to-date CV (covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained).
- An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
