Job Title: Supply Teacher
Location: Grantham
Pay Rate: £150 - £200 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Lincoln Branch are supporting reputed secondary schools across Grantham in their search for professional and adaptable Supply Teacher. We are keen to hear from qualified teachers who can quickly become familiar with new classroom environments, deliver meaningful learning experiences, and maintain consistent educational standards while permanent staff are absent.
Joining schools as a Supply Teacher, you will have the opportunity to oversee daily teaching activities, provide clear academic instruction, and ensure students continue progressing through their studies. Your ability to manage changing schedules and engage unfamiliar classes will contribute to a positive and productive school experience.
Supply Teacher Responsibilities:
- Conduct lessons according to the teaching schedules and resources supplied by schools
- Explain subject content in an accessible manner to support student understanding
- Foster a focused learning environment through consistent expectations and effective communication
- Offer additional guidance to learners who experience difficulties with assigned activities
- Encourage classroom discussion, independent work, and responsible learning habits
- Document relevant classroom developments and provide useful handover information to school staff
Supply Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
- Previous teaching experience within secondary education is beneficial
- Confidence taking responsibility for different classes and subject areas
- Familiarity with effective instructional methods and classroom behaviour expectations
- Strong interpersonal skills, professional judgement, and the ability to adapt to new situations
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
