Pay Rate: MPS/UPS (Depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Lincoln Branch are seeking creative and knowledgeable English Teacher to work in welcoming schools across Lincoln. We are looking for qualified educators who can make language and literature engaging, encourage thoughtful discussion, and help young people become confident readers, writers, and communicators.

As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across English Language and Literature, supporting learners in developing analytical thinking, written expression, reading comprehension, and effective communication.

English Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons
  • Introduce students to a diverse range of texts, genres, authors, and writing styles
  • Develop reading comprehension, analytical writing, vocabulary, and communication skills
  • Encourage thoughtful discussion and evidence-based interpretation of texts
  • Assess progress and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
  • Prepare examination groups through structured revision and assessment practice

English Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum
  • Experience teaching English Language and Literature is desirable
  • Ability to make complex texts and concepts accessible to different ability levels
  • Effective planning, assessment, communication, and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
