SEN Teaching Assistant – Gainsborough, Lincolnshire
GSL Education are seeking a passionate, caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in SEN, education, care or support work who is looking to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs
- Working closely with teachers and support staff to provide effective, individualised support
- Helping pupils engage with learning and develop their confidence, independence and social skills
- Supporting the emotional and wellbeing needs of pupils
- Monday–Friday availability required
- Initially working on a supply basis, with the opportunity to progress into a long-term or permanent position
✅ We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar SEN role
- Alternatively, experience in Care Work, Support Work or a similar setting
- A patient, compassionate and supportive approach
- Confidence working with children and young people
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability and commitment to working Monday–Friday
- A genuine passion for helping pupils overcome barriers and achieve their potential
