Teaching Assistant – Horncastle

Location: Horncastle, Lincolnshire
Salary: £93 – £110 per day, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time | Flexible

GSL Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in schools in Horncastle. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people and helping them achieve their full potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and other members of staff to provide valuable support both inside and outside the classroom. You may work with pupils on a one-to-one basis, support small groups, or assist the wider class depending on the needs of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with learning activities and classroom tasks.
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
  • Help pupils remain focused, motivated and engaged in their learning.
  • Support positive behaviour and encourage pupils' confidence and independence.
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and preparation.
  • Provide additional support to pupils with SEND or other learning needs where required.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • A patient, caring and positive approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • A flexible and reliable approach to work.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
