Salary: £120–£160 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Long-Term/ Day-to-day, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education Newcastle branch are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join a welcoming school in Middlesbrough. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ambitious educator looking to make a genuine difference to students' learning and development.

As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for

  • Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons suited to students’ learning needs.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to support different abilities and learning styles.
  • Build a welcoming classroom where everyone feels encouraged to contribute.
  • Inspire curiosity, confidence and a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Monitor individual progress and identify areas for further development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide consistent pupil support.
  • Encourage pupils to develop independence, resilience and essential life skills.
  • Contribute to a safe, supportive and well-organised school environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is must for a Primary Teacher.
  • Previous experience working within a primary school setting is desirable.
  • Classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for supporting children's academic and personal development.
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Committing to students’ safeguarding is a must as a Primary Teacher.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
